I am a general psychiatrist and only see adults or older adolescents. I am experienced with all areas of psychiatric issues. For example, this would include depression, anxiety, panic attacks, problems sleeping or insomnia, bipolar disorder, attention deficit disorder, obsessive compulsive tendencies, trauma, stress related disorders along with illnesses that may be psychotic symptoms such as schizophrenia, schizo affective disorder, delusional disorder, etc. When you call to make an appointment, the receptionist will gladly schedule an appointment time for you. No questions regarding the reasons you are making an appointment will be asked. When you come for your appointment you will have an initial evaluation where we will discuss all concerns you may have. This session is expected to be for one hour.
I accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards for payments and am considered out-of-network with insurance companies. Insurance companies impose many rules and so play a part in shaping a patient's treatment. Also, confidentiality is not as assured when working with an insurance company. However, I will supply a super bill which is essentially a receipt of the service received and you would be able to send this to your insurance company for partial or full reimbursement of your appointment. Also, these visits may be tax deductible. Once an appropriate medication regiment is established, it probably won't be necessary to come for a visit as often.
For the initial visit the cost will be $200. Once that is done, all follow-up appointments are $85 and may be as long as thirty minutes from that point on.
